Do you have experience shipping/receiving, working in a warehouse environment, and operating a forklift? If so, we want you to join Falcon Equipment Edmonton as a Jr. Parts/Shipper Receiver!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by examining contents and comparing with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders
  • Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
  • Determine shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates and review of carrier rates on a regular basis
  • Record shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
  • Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
  • Deliver or route materials to associated department(s) in timely fashion using applicable work orders in association with purchase orders
  • Drive the parts truck as required
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner to move product
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience in a similar position within a related industry
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Forklift operator certification required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience with handling and unloading of heavy equipment with safety being of the upmost importance
  • Prior chain and rigging experience is a definite asset
  • Exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is an asset
